Korea Independent: En Route To

Korea Independent: En Route To [OmeU] South Korea, 2025, directed by Jaein Yoo with Jiwon Lee, Sun Jang, Subin Sim, 106 min

High school student Yoonji became pregnant by her class teacher, and the teacher suddenly disappeared. Yoonji believes that if she aborts the child, he will come back. That's why she steals the money from her roommate Gyeongseon and sets off to get illegal abortions...

“En Route To” does not reduce topics such as the female body, pregnancy and abortion to simple buzzwords or social debates. Instead, the film tells of young people whose desire for self-determination repeatedly clashes with their relationships, aspirations and their own contradictions.
