Korea Independent: NIKO

Korea Independent: NIKO [OmeU] South Korea, 2025, directed by: Julien Levy with Tiffany Young, Sandor Funtek, Soy Kim, 111 min

Tiffany Young (Girls Generation) takes on her first leading role in a feature film here. In Seoul in the near future, which has developed into a dystopia, Niko lives as the last romantic of his time. She helps people who have locked themselves out or whose doors are broken while she dreams of writing their own screenplay. One day, however, she disappears without a trace. In a world where people are under constant control and resistance is considered a crime, Niko's desire for true love seems strange to many. With its special atmosphere and visual texture, the film paints a familiar yet strange picture of Seoul.
