Tutoring for love

In the intimate comedy about the search for love and acceptance, fundamental questions are raised about the essence of relationships. Will the editor of the column with advice on “matters of the heart” in colorful writing for ladies turn out to be a love specialist?

Sławomir Narloch emphasizes: “This is a show about love. About the nature of the affection that is untied between youthful fantasy and hard work, consisting of patience and care for the other person. “A love that, because it wants to be the center of attention, makes our lives absurd,” he says. “The quality of a good comedy is that it can tell about the most serious things with a distance. It can't be called a comedy if it doesn't trick and maliciously intrude into our weaknesses and problems,” adds the director.

- We continue our cooperation with the Directing Department of the Theatre Academy in Warsaw, where students and graduates make premieres of contemporary comedies on our Small Stage. In my opinion, it is very important that young creators interested in comedy have the space to search for a new, authorial aesthetic of the genre. Creating space for these explorations is also the mission of the Polish Comedy Centre. Last season, the play “Replay” was directed by Magdalena Małecka-Wippich, this season we invite you to Flavia Coste's “Tutoring with Love” directed by Sławomir Narloch — announced the Polish premiere by Ewa Pilawska, director of the Powszechny Theatre in Łódź.
