“CATS BEHIND FENCES”/OPENING OF THE EXHIBITION ZUZANNA ŻMIJKO

6 NOVEMBER (FRIDAY) 6:00 P.M.

“Every child is an artist. The challenge is to remain an artist when you grow up.” — Pablo Picasso “Cats behind fences” is Zuzanna Żmijko's debut exhibition, in which drawing becomes a way to preserve children's curiosity about the increasingly gray world around us.

The presented works create multi-element stories — albeit without a single, concrete narrative. Vivid colors, familiar shapes and everyday motifs appear in non-obvious contexts, creating space for imagination and your own associations. Each of the works has the potential to lead the viewer in a different direction. There is no one correct interpretation here. Drawing becomes a form of searching — both for the author and the recipient. The exhibition is an invitation to stop for a moment, look and... be curious.

Zuzanna Żmijko (born 2001) currently lives in Warsaw, where she studies at the Academy of Fine Arts. In his works, he focuses on the harmony of shapes, colors and textures, creating stories from associations formed in the process of creation. Admission is free. Place: House of Science and Art/Willa Frankówka.
