Kovacs announces new album and tour. In 2027 we will hear it in Poland!
Sharon Kovacs, one of the most expressive and uncompromising artists of the European scene, returns to Poland! At the end of February and early March 2027, the singer will play four unique concerts, during which she will present material from her upcoming album full of electronic sounds. Concert tickets are now on sale!
Sharon Kovacs is a singer with a distinctive, dark and soulful tone of voice. Her work is distinguished by its original sound, which has won the recognition of listeners around the world. She received her music education at the Conservatory in Tilburg and took her first stage steps during open mic nights in Eindhoven. The artist quickly developed her own style, combining inspirations from such icons as Betty Davis, Etta James and Tina Turner with the nostalgic atmosphere of works by Amy Winehouse, Shirley Bassey and the band Portishead.
Her big breakthrough came in 2014 with the mini-album My Love, partially recorded in Cuba. The title track, set in a sultry tango noir atmosphere and reminiscent of the soundtrack of the Bond films, became a Europe-wide hit — it won first place in Greece, among others, and generated millions of online streams.
In the same year, Kovacs received the prestigious 3FM Serious Talent title, performed at iconic festivals including North Sea Jazz and Lowlands, and won the NPO Radio 6 Soul & Jazz Award for Best New Talent.
Her trademark — the distinctive fur hat — earned her the nickname Wolflady and became the main theme of the documentary film of the same name, presented at the IDFA festival.
The artist's debut album, Shades of Black (2015), hit the top of the Dutch charts. This opened the door for her to perform at festivals such as Pinkpop, Paaspop, Rock Werchter, as well as on the legendary international stages Glastonbury and Sziget. With her performances with the Metropole Orchestra, she gained even more recognition for her intense, emotional and dramatic concerts.
The second album, Cheap Smell (2018), produced in collaboration with Liam Howe, earned critical acclaim for its raw sincerity and soulful depth. On the other hand, released in 2023 by her own label Wolf Recordings, the album Child of Sin brought, among others, a high-profile duet with Till Lindemann from the band Rammstein. The album turned out to be the highest-charting novelty on the Dutch Album Top 100 list, and the tour promoting it gathered full halls around the world.
In the second half of 2026, Kovacs will release a long-awaited album on which, for the first time in his career, he will make electronic music the foundation of his sound. For years, electronics has been her personal springboard — it was the genre she always turned to when she wanted to completely let go and lose herself in the moment.
