BLACK GOAT IN AFRICA

Koziołek Matołek thought that after returning from Pacanów he would rest and finally enjoy the peace and quiet at home — nothing could be more wrong...

Here comes a letter from Africa in which the animals ask the Goat for help, because they have a huge problem - they are terribly bored. So what to do? The hero goes to the aid of friends and thus begins new adventures.

The director is inspired by the original comic, giving it a non-trivial character. A cartoon film studio is built on the theater stage, where the film crew decides to shoot the events described by Kornel Makuszyński. Before our eyes, the comic comes to life - the actors animate flat forms, telling about the exotic journey of our hero. From behind the scenes, we observe the process of creation of the work, and the whole world is created before the eyes of the spectators.

The play “Goat Matołek in Africa” was based on the 4th Book of Adventures of Goat Matołek. This text has not yet been performed on theatrical stages. Despite the fact that the creators value the aspect of knowing the world through travel, the show is accompanied by a serene message that “everywhere is good, but at home it is best”.
