Krakow of national art, or the triumph of mediocrity

Ladies and gentlemen, the show consists of two acts.

Act I takes place in different spaces of the Theatre. Upon entering the building, spectators will be divided into four groups, which will move successively between the designated places: the vestibule, the foyer, the stage and the audience. Please follow the Theatre's operating instructions. Act II Spectators will take their seats in the auditorium of the large stage according to the numbering indicated on the tickets.

Agata Duda-Gracz — one of the most important Polish directors, known for creating fascinating stories and mesmerizing stage images — returns to her so close to her throughout the artistic journey of the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Krakow to tell her story of Stanisław Wyspiański to the end. After Wawel On your knees, Mr. Wyspiański! and wonderfully received by our audience Ladies and Gentlemen, Wyspiański Dies this time the artist goes back to the youthful period of the life of our fourth messenger. So it will be — structurally inspired by the Wedding — a theatrical dream of young Stas. A dream full of hope, open possibilities and youthful enthusiasm. A dream about a wedding, a dream about theater, a dream about Poland and a dream about love.

The performance Krakow of national art or the triumph of mediocrity takes place during the third rehearsal for the Wedding and consists of two parts: the immersive part of the first, in which Wyspiański (and with him we) wander through the four spaces of the Theater and four realistic stories of encounters with authentic characters that led, inspired, pushed Stasis to Creation of Weddings. And the second part — played classically — in which theatrical ghosts dominate the stage.

The costumes for the show were designed by, among others, great Polish painters: Jan Matejko, Józef Mehoffer, Stanisław Wyspiański, Wojciech Weiss, Teodor Axentowicz, Tadeusz Ajdukiewicz. Live music will be performed by Maja Krzeszcz and Wojciech Krzak.
