Wojciech Ogrodziński's “King of Comedy” intertwines time and space plans: a nursing home, occupied Warsaw, a theatrical dressing room and a stage.
In the center is the figure of a comedian - legendary but forgotten. A comedian who, in times of contempt, fought for his life not with a sword, but with humor, because Adolf Dymsza is not only the king of comedy — he is a symbol of an actor torn between the need to laugh and the burden of survival.
