The Nutcracker is a journey into the world of children's imagination set in Christmas realities. This classic ballet with the music of the genre grandmaster Pyotr Tchaikovsky belongs to the strict canon, enjoying unwavering popularity despite the passage of time. It is worth asking yourself, why is this happening? Probably everyone has their own, fully justified answer: beautiful music, Christmas atmosphere, choreographic mastery, or finally rich costumes and scenography. You will find all this in the performance of the Royal Classical Ballet, but there is something else to which we pay close attention. The Nutcracker is an excellent platform for intergenerational meetings. Here every child is treated with understanding and attention worthy of adults, and adults, regardless of age, have an extraordinary opportunity to rediscover, to find the child in themselves. And so, in a world that, perhaps as never before, has divided and separated a generation from each other, our spectacle appears as a platform integrating individuals and souls that are often alien to each other, albeit related.

The plot of “The Nutcracker” consists of two acts. The main character is Clara, who on Christmas Eve, among many other gifts, finds a wooden nutcracker under the Christmas tree. The toy is very much to her taste, although apart from her, no one sees anything noteworthy in it. As every year, Clara's family celebrates the expectation of the birth of the Child of God. When night falls, the girl falls asleep in an armchair. Then unusual things begin to happen. The Nutcracker comes to life and rescues Clara from being attacked by a mouse army and his King. Commanding his brother's leaden soldiers, he fights a fierce battle that almost pays for his life. Fortunately, Clara comes to his aid in time, for which she is rewarded by the Snow Queen. In the second act, The Nutcracker turns into a handsome prince and takes Clara to the Land of Sweetness. During the hike, the girl meets mysterious figures who dance fiery flamenco, traditional Russian, Chinese and oriental dances. Finally, the wanderers reach the capital, where Clara is greeted with honors worthy of a real princess and invited to a ball at the palace. There, together with the prince, a waltz dances surrounded by swirling floral garlands. Unfortunately, with the onset of midnight, everything dissipates like a fog, and the girl wakes up in an armchair hugging a wooden toy in her arms.
