Snow Queen

A fairy tale that will warm every heart

“The Snow Queen” is a story about a world where hearts turn to ice, and goodness is overshadowed by coldness and indifference. Kai, whose heart has been frozen by a shattered evil mirror, ends up in the ice palace of the eponymous Queen. Now it is up to his friend Gerda to break the evil spell and revive the boy's heart.

This is a story about how evil can creep into our hearts and destroy our positive picture of the world. However, in this story, it is the warmth of human kindness, determination and courage that show that even the coldest spell can be broken.

The play, directed by Paweł Szkotak, founder of the famous Biuro Podróży Theatre, is a unique adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's classic fairy tale, combining elements of puppet theatre with dynamic acting. Magical scenography draws viewers into a fairytale world, where every scene is buzzing with emotion.
