Xian and Ikki run a Chinese buffet in Madrid, but both their business and their marriage barely hold up. When a customer accidentally dies in a restaurant, they decide to hide the body and pretend that nothing happened. They quickly recognize that further problems can be solved similarly, and the capacious cold room begins to fill with corpses. “Bloody Buffet” is a shamelessly macabre black comedy in which a marital crisis leads to crime, cannibalism and increasingly absurd attempts to control the situation. Amid the abomination and madness, however, there remains room for a poignant portrait of a woman thirsting for love. A furiously funny cinema for viewers with strong stomachs.
