Singer, jazz and soul singer, composer, music producer and educator. She is recognized as one of the most important artists of the Polish music scene, and her work combines elements of jazz, soul and popular music.
The repertoire of the concert is cross-sectional and includes the most popular songs from 56 years of stage and recording work from 1970 to today, such as “You are the medicine for all evil”, “Małe sknoty”, “Deszcz w Cisna”, “Let my heart rock you to sleep”, songs from albums released in the eighties such as “Special occasions,” “Who gave us desses” zcz”. There are also lesser-known songs in the concert repertoire, as well as at least one premiere not yet released.
The performers will be: Krystyna Prońko — vocals; Przemek Raminiak — keyboards; Kuba Raczyński — saxophones; Jędrzej Łaciak — bass guitar; Krzysztof Barcik — guitar; Paweł Twardoch — drums; Piotr Prońko — acoustic and technical and organizational matters.
Krystyna Prońko is a graduate of the Academy of Music of the Faculty of Jazz and Entertainment Music in Katowice. Diploma in 1997 with the Rector's Prize of the then rector Henryk Górecki. She began her artistic work in the amateur movement together with her brothers (Piotr - saxophonist, Wojciech - double bass player and bass guitarist) and with colleagues from the neighborhood. She made her debut in the choir “Respekt” formed and conducted by Antoni Kopff. With this choir she collaborated with the bands Czerwone Gitary, Skaldowie and Niemen in the choir of his band. After independence, she formed with Janusz Koman the Koman band with which she made many radio recordings (LP vinyls) and television programs and played many tours, including foreign ones.
She has constantly collaborated with orchestras, including the Orchestra of the Polish Radio Jazz Studio in Warsaw and with Gustav Brom's Slovak Big Band and Gunter Golash's German big band, making recordings and concerts with them. She has repeatedly participated in domestic and foreign festivals and played several tours in the former USSR, GDR, Czechoslovakia and Bulgaria as well as in the USA and Canada. In the 1990s, she hosted original radio and television programs. In the years 2000-2010 she taught a singing class at the Faculty of Arts at the Institute of Music of the Maria Curie Skłodowska University in Lublin.
Since 1991 he has been running the company P. M. Krystyna Prońko and since 2023 the P. M. Krystyna Prońko Cultural Foundation, whose goal is to continue his artistic work under his own banner. She has released many CDs and vinyl LPs under her own label. He has his Star in the Avenue of Stars in Opole and three gold records. He likes to mix genres of music because, as he says, “It's boring to sing the same thing over and over again.” This is reflected in the CD “I like special occasions” released in 2020 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of artistic work. He has three gold albums, participated in many festivals, TV shows and many concerts.
She is always active in concert and recording, collaborating with various ensembles of musicians and having at her disposal her own Trio, Quartet or collaborations with orchestras.
