Krzysztof Skiba & Konrad Wojciechowski, or Rockandroll author's meeting

We invite you to a unique, humorous and anecdotal evening with Krzysztof Skiba — legendary frontman of Big Cyc, satirist and publicist, and Konrad Wojciechowski — music journalist and author of books about the Polish rock scene.

Salon scandalist, stage happener, rock bully... — such accusations were heard by Krzysztof Skiba back in the 1980s, when he was arrested by the militia for scattering leaflets in Jarocin, and he identified himself at the command as Jimi Hendrix. And so began his musical career.

During the author's meeting, he will reveal concert secrets and debunk mythmaking legends. He has been associated with Big Cyce for almost 40 years. On tour around the country, from concert to concert, through the window of the bus and from the height of the stage, Skiba observes how Poland is changing and accurately comments on his observations.

The meeting with Krzysztof Skiba will take place on the day of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of CBK FAMA. We invite you on Friday, November 6, at 18:00!

Krzysztof Skiba — musician, satirist, speaker, columnist. The frontman of the band Big Cyc. In the 90s, TV presenter of the popular satirical show “Lalamido”. He wrote for “Gazeta Wyborcza”, “Wprost”, “Przekroju”, “CKM”, “Playboy”. He publishes theater and film reviews in the weekly “Angora”. He is the author of books and collections of short stories such as “Skiw mur” (2005), “Underwater Stories” (2009), “Polska bez gaci” (2021) and “Women are naive” (2024).

Konrad Wojciechowski — sociologist, journalist, author of books. He wrote, among others, a collection of stage anecdotes “Rock po polsku” (2023) and a biography of the band Perfect (“Because idols live for it” — 2025). Co-author of an album about the festival in Jarocin (“Pokolenie J8”, 2011) and a guide to Polish hits (“The song must have lyrics. And music — 200 most important pieces of Polish rock”, 2017). He has published in “Wirtualna Polska”, “Newsweek”, “Gazeta Wyborcza”, “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna” and “Fakta”.
