When a Syrian doctor and her daughter are forced to flee Aleppo, one desperate decision sets in motion a chain of events that crosses borders and pulls five strangers into the middle of the same storm. A smuggler trying to save his son. A soldier struggling with his own conscience. Poet in search of a home. Greek Coast Guard captain torn between duty and mercy. Their paths cross one night in the Mediterranean Sea - in a place where survival is uncertain and humanity manifests itself in its harshest form.
