The touring festival, which was created and developed exclusively as a result of grassroots initiatives, in 2026 will visit more than forty towns throughout Poland — including Tarnowskie Góry. The partners of the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights — co-organizers of the touring festival in individual cities — select films from the repertoire of the last edition of the Warsaw IFF WATCH DOCS.

The first so feminine documentary about the war in Ukraine presents the story of a couple of paramedics, who were engaged in the evacuation of the wounded from the battlefield. The eponymous nicknames perfectly convey the differences in their temperaments: the exuberant Cuba perfectly complements the responsible Alaska. Friendship is cemented by daring escapades, during which they save the lives of colleagues — and moments of respite when stress disappears for a moment. Everything changes when Alaska is badly injured. War shows its true face, and instead of adrenaline comes suffering, uncertainty and reflection. Does being a soldier have to involve giving up your dreams? Troyanovsky's intense film, full of good energy, shows that the meaning of life is most easily captured in moments of greatest danger, and true friendship is stronger than fear.
