About the event

We invite you to a meeting with Stanisław Kusiak dedicated to Tyrol — an unusual alpine land whose historical lands are today located in Austria and Italy.

Tyrol impresses with majestic peaks, vast valleys, crystal clear lakes and picturesque villages nestled among alpine landscapes. However, it is not only a region of extraordinary views, but also a place with a rich, cultivated culture for generations. An important part is: folk music, characteristic yodeling, traditional costumes, regional dances and characteristic Tyrolean hats.

During the meeting we will take a closer look at this unique alpine land. We will learn about its history and the daily life of the inhabitants. There will also be stories about the musical traditions of Tyrol, regional costumes and the strong attachment of the inhabitants to their culture.

About the traveler:

Curiosity about the world and the desire to see what is happening behind the horizon led Stanisław Kusiak on trails to the countries of Europe, Scandinavia, but also the Mediterranean. And so it has always been. Having spent four years in Lower Silesia, he visited more than 90 towns and places, recording with a camera the nature, landscape, industrial infrastructure and post-German architecture, including castles and palaces, which were often in an agonal state. He regularly visits culturally rich Roztocze and Podkarpacie, where he immortalizes objects of church wooden architecture. He photographed the Krakow-Częstochowa Jura and castles, palaces and manors on the Eagle's Nest Trail. He does not forget Polesie and Podlasie, with their great heritage of the eastern border. Photographically documents domestic and foreign expeditions of the Lublin Branch of the Polish Geographical Society. For many years he also coordinated competitions at the Lublin Photographic Society. He uses facto- and photographic resources during exhibitions and in film reports.
