“Art”

Serge bought a painting for a considerable sum: white stripes on a white background. This picture sparks the dispute between three friends, in the course of which their lives and relationships fundamentally change. Serge is enthusiastic about the painting, Marc fights it fiercely and Yvan does not take a stand so as not to spoil it with either of them. The work of art serves as a catalyst, with the help of which Yasmina Reza puts the three men, their feelings, their feelings, their entire existence to the test — an eloquent comedy about the half-life of friendships for a furious trio of actors.
