After a daring escape from the farm, the hen finds shelter by the village tavern. There he learns the taste of love, faces the hierarchy that reigns in the yard and fights to protect his eggs.

Taking an unobvious perspective, Pálfi talks about universal values — freedom, security, motherhood — which are sought not only by human beings. The Hungarian director boldly combines film genres to create a story that, on the one hand, can entertain us, and on the other is truly moving.
