In her artistic practice, Jeewi Lee works with site-specific installations, sculptures, image series and interventions. In her works, she often uses simple, seemingly worthless materials and artifacts, in which time, memory and transience are inscribed as traces. These traces form the starting point for her artistic research. It merges scientific material analyses with aspects of Taoist philosophy and individual mythology to create poetic, meditative pictorial worlds. The winner of the GASAG Art Prize 2026 will create a site-specific presentation at the Berlinische Galerie. The exhibition takes place as part of Berlin Art Week 2026.
