About the event

The Remedy Reunion Tour reunites one of the most important bands of modern jazz. Kurt Rosenwinkel (guitar), Seamus Blake (saxophone), Aaron Goldberg (piano), Joe Martin (double bass) and Kendrick Scott (drums) reunite to refresh and revive the music of The Remedy, an album recorded live at the legendary Village Vanguard club and released by Word of Mouth Records. The album electrified the jazz world with bold interaction of musicians, gripping melodies and daring improvisations, capturing the unique moment when deep lyricism met unfettered musical exploration, co-creating the sound of an entire generation. Now, for the first time in almost two decades, the full line-up of the band will once again perform together on stage, paying tribute to the legacy of this project and at the same time opening up new spaces of musical exploration.

Kurt Rosenwinkel has redefined contemporary jazz guitar with his lyrical musical language, bold harmonies and unique sound. His music crosses the boundaries of genres, combining jazz, rock, ambient and classical music in a completely original artistic vision.

As a leader, he has recorded more than fifteen acclaimed albums, including “The Next Step”, “Deep Song” and “Star of Jupiter”. His work inspires generations of musicians around the world. Whether in intimate clubs or at major festivals, Rosenwinkel's concerts remain an unforgettable experience - full of emotion, musical brilliance and creative freedom.

Seamus Blake is an acclaimed tenor saxophonist and composer, valued for his virtuosity and innovative contributions to contemporary jazz. In 2002, he won the prestigious Thelonious Monk International Saxophone Competition Award. Known for his bold improvisations and sophisticated compositions, he has released more than twelve solo albums, including “The Call” (1993), “Way Out Willy” (2007) and “Guardians of the Heart Machine” (2019), showcasing his versatility in the areas of post-bop, fusion and electronic jazz. In June 2026, the premiere of a new project by the artist inspired by the work of Pink Floyd is planned. He has collaborated with such musicians as John Scofield, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Bill Stewart and the Mingus Big Band. Blake's dynamic concerts and masterful technique established him as one of the most influential saxophonists of his generation.

Described by DownBeat magazine as a “Rising Star” and by The New York Times as “the drummer whose time has just come”, Kendrick Scott is one of the greatest drummers of his generation. He was born in Houston, Texas to a family of musicians and began learning to play drums at the age of eight.

He attended the renowned High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, whose alumni include Jason Moran, Robert Glasper and Beyoncé. While still studying, he won several DownBeat Student Awards and the Clifford Brown/Stan Getz Award from the International Association of Jazz Educators. He then studied at Berklee College of Music on a scholarship, majoring in music education.

Scott has toured and recorded with many notable artists, including Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller, Charles Lloyd, The Crusaders, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Kurt Elling and Terence Blanchard. He also appeared on Blanchard's Grammy Award-winning 2007 album “A Tale of God's Will”.

For more than twenty years, pianist Aaron Goldberg has remained one of the most fascinating artists of contemporary jazz, both as leader of his own trio and collaborator of icons such as Joshua Redman, Wynton Marsalis and Kurt Rosenwinkel. The Boston-born musician began his adventure with jazz in high school, then studied at The New School and Harvard, combining education with active concert activity.

After graduation, he moved to New York, where he created a long-time trio with Reuben Rogers and Eric Harland, collaborating simultaneously with artists such as Al Foster, Mark Turner, Tom Harrell and Ravi Coltrane. He later toured the world with Joshua Redman and Wynton Marsalis, releasing acclaimed albums including “Turning Point”, “Worlds”, “Home”, “The Now” and “At the Edge of the World”.

Throughout his career, Aaron Goldberg has surrounded himself with musicians of similar artistic sensibilities, collectively seeking the highest form of musical expression. Together with his bands, he represents the contemporary ideal of jazz - the ability to create a common, progressive musical language that imprints both the present and the future of the genre. The joy he finds in team improvisation continues to inspire audiences around the world.

Joe Martin is one of the most sought-after jazz double bass players of his generation. Since moving to New York in 1994, his supportive, lyrical and harmoniously exploratory style of play has led him to collaborate with artists such as Mark Turner, Gilad Hekselman, Chris Potter and Kurt Rosenwinkel.

As a sideman, he has appeared on more than a hundred albums, including Mark Turner's “Lathe Of Heaven” and “Live At The Village Vanguard”, Chris Potter's “The Dreamer Is The Dream” and Kurt Rosenwinkel's “The Remedy”. As a leader, he released three original albums: “Étoilée”, “Not By Chance” and “Passage”.

His musical sensibility, lyrical and harmonically open playing make him one of the most important voices of contemporary jazz.
