WOMAN UNKNOWN is an intense psychological drama about Marie, a young woman who, in the fateful days of liberation in May 1945, desperately tries to hide her former relationship with a German soldier for fear of the consequences. As the rush to freedom rages, the enthusiasm of the Danes is transformed into a thirst for revenge, vigilantism and a people's court, and the bodies of the so-called German girls are made the visible targets of society for collective vengeance and public shaming.
