Female homicide in Denmark

Line Vaaben is a journalist, editor and award-winning author with an extensive knowledge of the killing of women — not least partner killings.

In this lecture, she delves into concrete cases, provides statistical overview and conveys the underlying mechanisms so that the audience understands the complexity and seriousness of the topic.

The lecture draws on knowledge from the book “A Predictable Crime”, which she wrote together with forensic scientist Asser Hedegaard Thomsen in 2022 and her latest book “Dem vi stolede”, in which she sharply discusses the consequences for the relatives after the murder of psychologist Maria From Jakobsen.
