Quartet

Four outstanding actors attempt to confront fundamental questions about the nature of art and the meaning of theatrical action, and ultimately life itself, quickly turning it into a humorous, provocative and improvisational stage event. The cult story, to which the starting point is a text by Schaeffer, an outstanding Polish composer, and a barely outlined dramatic situation, is an ambitious attempt to find a universal and unique ideal of art. Acting improvisation as a tool in search of meaning, the variability of conventions and the spectator cast not only in the position of observer make up the part of the game in which nothing is completely fixed. “The Quartet” combines masterful acting, music and intelligent humor, creating a theater that is lively, unpredictable and each time a little different.
