La Bohème

Another opera masterpiece on our stage! La Bohème (Cyganeria) by Puccini. This is one of the most moving opera stories. A timeless story about a group of artists for whom freedom and authenticity of experience are of the highest value. This is also a touching love story, to which it is difficult to remain indifferent.

Romuald Wicza-Pokojski, the director of the play, decided to show this story in modern realities. The background of the story is a modern metropolis, and the constant movement characteristic of it emphasizes the dynamism of the staging. In this view, the most important issue becomes the problem of the opposition between the world of uncompromising pursuit of one's own visions and dreams and the world of opportunistic and conformist attitudes well known to us today.
