Labyrinth of fauna

Honored with three Oscars and the Golden Frog at the Camerimage festival, a cruel fairy tale directed by Mexican visionary Guillermo del Toro. The film tells the story of a young girl who in 1944, after the victory of General Franco, goes with her mother and stepfather to the countryside in the north of Spain. The girl lives in the world of her own imagination and with difficulty accepts reality. Post-war fascist repression, affecting the villagers, forces her to deal with them in her own way.
