Laboratory of terrible sounds

Autumn fogs, dark evenings and the wind howling in the chimney is an excellent time for scientific experiments with thrill! We invite you to such terrible workshops from the Laboratory of Mr. Cork.

Our scientific team will work with you to see if you can experimentally evoke a ghost, where the mysterious sounds come from and what makes the sounds familiar from horror films capable of giving goosebumps. Instead of looking for supernatural phenomena, however, we will look under the mask of fear and discover that there are quite specific laws of physics behind many “terrible” effects.

In this unusual atmosphere we will learn the secrets of acoustics. We will study sound waves, their frequencies, resonance and other phenomena responsible for unusual sounds.

We will experiment, listen, observe and... be a little afraid, but exclusively scientifically! Because with us, even ghosts have their own STEM explanation!

Classes for children 7-8 years old.

Registration is valid one week before the event from 7 October at 2 p.m. tel. 726 261 375 (only by phone)
