Feminist walk inspired by the female characters of “Dolls”
During the walk we will focus on the fate of the heroines of “Dolls”. How did they live? What choices did they make? We will wonder if they have had a real impact on their lives at all. Our guides will be Marianna, Helena Stawska, Baroness Krzeszowska, Kazia Wąsowska and Izabela Łęcka herself. We will check what image of a woman of the 19th century and her Warsaw life will emerge from the pages of the novel. We will also try to trace historical sources - we will refer to the newspapers of the time and real places that defined women's experiences.
The walk will be led by Monika Michałek - Deputy Director in the Education Department of the Museum of Warsaw and a city guide with many years of experience, coach of interpreting the heritage of Interpret Europe. Professionally, she is engaged in the education of children and adults, looking for interesting and alternative forms of storytelling and working with stories.
The walk is intended for adults.
