Lambert's coming back. Or maybe he never was? It is difficult to say who is really hiding behind the mask. But one thing is certain: the Berlin pianist, composer and producer is releasing a new record, which he has subversely titled “I Am Not Lambert”. For twelve years, Lambert has been playing with identity like no other in the European piano electronics scene. He started by hiding his face behind a Sardinian mask because he wanted to leave the past behind him. It turned out that the mask became his hallmark. On the new record, he does something he has never done before: he sings. Guest appearances include Kat Frankie, Dekker and Goodwin from The Slow Show, and the instrumentation expands to include trumpet, saxophone and cello. Sounds like Lambert, but different. Sam says it's the most honest lie he's ever told. Live is a meeting of piano, electronics and something that cannot be fully called. Intimate, unpredictable and always different than last time.
