❄️ “Sirius” creator Lasse Rahbek comes to Bremen Theater on October 19 for a wild evening about Greenland, extreme expeditions, and what to discover when the phone, noise and safety net disappear
Lasse Rahbek didn't grow up as an adventurer. He was an overweight, insecure kid who most of all tried to fit in.
Yet many years later he ended up becoming the civilian Dane who has ridden the longest with the Sleigh Patrol Sirius.
Today, he knows that the longest journeys never went across the ice, but inward. This visual lecture is not just a tale of sledding and extreme cold, but a skinlessly honest story of what one finds when all the things we usually hide behind -- the phone, the noise and the roles -- disappear.
At a time when the whole world is talking about what Greenland can give us, Lasse Rahbek instead talks about what Greenland did to him. About that view of nature, many modern people have lost connection with. And about what is at stake in the discussion about the future of Greenland.
Because in Greenland you can discover who you really are.
Lasse Rahbek is a documentary photographer and experienced speaker. Among other things, he is behind the DR1 series SIRIUS and has participated in numerous expeditions in the Arctic.
