Latin Film Fest: A Bright Future

Teenage Elisa lives with her family in a housing estate, where time has stopped. The most outstanding young people from this destroyed world are sent to the North, the promised land, where history is rewritten without errors. Elisa wants to meet her older sister there, who has already left. The appearance of a mysterious neighbor shows Elisa that her youth is a precious commodity, and the North's obsession with perfection begins to arouse doubts in the girl.

“Bright Future” is not a dystopian film about the end of the world. It is a story about a slightly shifted, alternative reality, in which memory is fragile, expectations are great, and freedom and faith in one's own dreams become the overriding value. The film has been shown at more than 20 international festivals, including the Tribeca Festival, SANFIC and Guanajuato.
