Lea Romea

Face tomorrow's pop with Lea Romea

With her alluring pop universe, where glass-clear vocals soar over soft elements of R&B and afrobeat, Lea Romea has proven herself as one of the most exciting names in Denmark right now.

Her course is straight for the stars, and she has armed herself with personal texts that zigzag between presence and secrets, union and parting.

On her just-released debut EP Sweetheart, she shows how versatile she is within her own distinctive pop universe. Here she unites her personal lyrics in a soundscape that balances between sunshine-warm afrobeats and night-blue, melancholic coolness.

“'Sweetheart' is strong pop craft with melodic excess, detail-rich productions and exquisite vocal performances. But it's Lea Romea's alluring secrecy that really makes the EP special,” Soundvenue wrote, adding five sparkling stars for the debut.

Lea Romea released her debut single “Bubbles” in January, and since then things have been going strong for the Danish songwriter.

At the start of the year she was awarded a spot among the alumni of VEGA's Chosen, she became P3's Inevitable with “Slip Slip” feat. MAS and her concert at Ideal Bar in May sold out in under a week.

Lea Romea's universe holds strength and fragility, while her nerve and presence are described as something that can be felt far beyond the edge of the stage.

The concert in Lille VEGA will therefore be a unique opportunity to experience Lea Romea's new release up close. The scenes from here will only get bigger.
