Master classes

Master classes are a unique opportunity to work directly with outstanding artists and educators who have been shaping the world guitar scene for years.

Participants have the opportunity to improve their performance skills, develop a technical workshop and deepen their knowledge of the interpretation of musical works under the guidance of recognized masters.

The classes will be conducted by outstanding guitarists, academic educators and members of the competition jury: Marcin Dylla (Poland), Martin Krajčko (Slovakia), Thomas Offerman (Germany), Beata Będkowska-Huang (Poland), Petr Saidl (Czech Republic) and József Eötvös (Hungary). Each of the pedagogues represents a different performing school and many years of concert experience, which gives participants the opportunity to learn a variety of approaches to interpretation and work on the repertoire.

Master classes are an integral part of the festival program and are dedicated primarily to the participants of the Jan Edmund Jurkowski International Guitar Competition. This is a unique opportunity to obtain valuable artistic tips, consult the prepared repertoire and gain inspiration for further musical development.

All classes are open. Passive participation in master classes is free of charge, so that both young guitarists and music lovers can observe the process of work of outstanding educators with participants. Registration for the lessons for the participants of the competition is carried out at the reception of the Festival in the Arena Hotel.

We cordially invite you to participate in this unique educational event, which for years has been one of the most important elements of the Silesian Guitar Autumn program.

We will publish a detailed schedule soon.
