Absence notes. Songs & Poems Being constantly available was yesterday. Lennart Schilgen is back with his third program — and shines with his absence. When he is not giving concerts and winning cabaret awards (Prix Pantheon, Stuttgart broom, etc.), he does one thing in particular: get away from it. Among other things, it's on a bike ride, to the monastery and to the communist summer camp. Or even just in the depths of his mind, which is often adventurous enough. Songs come out about the detours and detours in the world and in one's own head. Full of lightness and humor, but also without being afraid to explore the dark corners. This time, things that have been swept from under the carpet are being rummaged out from under the carpet: The old PUR cassette. The primary school reports. The thing with the night bus stop. Fortunately, Schilgen certainly leads across every abyss — carried by his accomplished piano and guitar playing, his voice and his “alert spirit, with heart and humor and devious punchlines” (laudation for the 'Tuttling Crow”) .And when all else fails, there are still the poems: small, linguistic surprise bags, too silly, extremely artful.
