Recital by Rachel Willis-Sørensen

The song has many facets — a wide variety of styles and forms of expression have developed in different countries and cultures. Rachel Willis-Sørensen, who received great applause as Norma in the premiere series of Bellini's masterpiece at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in 2025, is now returning to the house for a recital of songs. A wide range is drawn: Songs by Sergei Rachmaninov, Jean Sibelius and Richard Strauss each shed light on the genre in their own way. In addition, trips into American song culture will be taken, including a premiere of songs by composer Jeff Beal, who will accompany Rachel Willis-Sørensen himself on the piano in these “Poems.”
