Life Support brings together first-hand accounts from international medics and visceral footage from inside overwhelmed hospitals, documenting the human cost of Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza. Over the course of two years, three medics lay bare the daily reality: bombed-out wards, dwindling medical supplies, starvation and an overwhelming influx of casualties.
Their accounts reveal what is being denied entry: infant formula, pain medication, surgical instruments. Alongside the doctors’ recordings, footage captured by local camera operators offers a view of everyday life beyond the headlines. The result is an unflinching record of a society being dismantled and an urgent call to attend to its human consequences.
Followed by a screen talk with Dr Victoria Rose, Prof Nick Maynard and Dr Tanya Haj Hassan.
This screening is presented in partnership with Health Workers for Palestine.
Content guidance: Contains graphic and distressing scenes including images of severely injured children and starvation. Watching Life Support is an act of bearing witness.
