The Berlin singer-songwriter Lina Piacentini creates an unmistakably intimate sound space with her ukulele. The often underrated instrument sounds warm and dreamy in her songs and gives them a profound lightness.
She combines her multilingual lyrics with sensitive melodies and addresses topics such as transience, interpersonal communication and community. The mood of her music ranges between nostalgic warmth and quiet confidence. Sometimes her singing is gentle, almost weightless, then soulful and powerful again — always supported by an authentic presence that creates closeness and touches her audience directly.
