Postman Pat

Since the 1980s, Postman Pat has been one of the most recognizable heroes of children's television - not just British. It is inextricably associated for subsequent generations of viewers with a red postal wagon, a feline friend and the picturesque roads of the Green Valley. Visiting more residents and delivering parcels from the beginning were an excuse for the creators to talk about the neighborhood and everyday kindness. The full-length film POSTMAN PAT AND THE BIG WORLD takes the well-known hero far beyond the ordinary postal route. When Pat loses the expected bonus at work, thanks to which he planned to take his wife on a dream trip, he unexpectedly decides to apply for a television contest of vocal talents. Success draws him into the world of cameras, performances and media popularity. At the same time, huge changes are taking place at the post office. In the process of ruthless modernization, workers are to replace machines — including out-of-control robots deceptively similar to Pat himself. The cinematic big world is clearly far from the unhurried rhythm and character of the serial prototype. Chases, robots, corporate intrigue and the traps of fame make up an intense action, in the center of which Pat will have to remember what is most important to him. After all, even in such a surprising release, the favorite hero remains a symbol of close relationships, mutual care and a sense of belonging.
