November in the rhythm of Comedy. The Międzychód Jazz Souls Are Back

Jazz, memories and an unusual atmosphere. On November 2, 2026 at 19:00 the entertainment and cinema hall of the Cultural Animation Center in Międzychód will again be filled with the sounds of jazz. The next edition of the Międzychód Jazz Zaduszki is ahead of us — events that we want to permanently inscribe in the cultural calendar of our city. This year's concert will be dedicated to the work of Krzysztof Komeda, one of the most outstanding Polish jazz composers and filmmakers.

Jazz Zaduszki is more than a concert. It is a special encounter with music that allows us to pause for a moment, to return to memories and to pay tribute to artists whose work remains alive despite the passing of the years. Jazz, with its sensitivity, improvisation and unique atmosphere, fits perfectly into the atmosphere of the November reverie.

After last year's event, we return with another musical story. Our ambition is for Międzychód Jazz Zaduszki to become an annual tradition of the Cultural Animation Center — an event that is recognizable, awaited and associated with Międzychód. Every year we want to invite the audience to discover the different faces of jazz, to remember outstanding artists and to create a space for musical encounters that remain in the memory long after the last encore.

Krzysztof Komeda — music of Polish jazz and big cinema
The protagonist of this year's edition will be Krzysztof Komeda — pianist, composer and one of the most important figures in the history of Polish jazz. His music, full of emotion, subtlety and characteristic melancholy, has also permanently entered the history of world cinema. The compositions created, among others, for Roman Polanski's films still delight the next generations of listeners.

During the concert we will hear music inspired by the work of Komeda in the interpretation of the Jan Adamczewski Quartet. It will be an evening where jazz freedom meets cinematic imagination and familiar melodies gain a new sound.

Guest will be Kornelia Razniewska — vocals.

We are building a new musical tradition of Międzychod
We want the November meetings with jazz to become one of the hallmarks of our Cultural Animation Center. Such an event that we return to every year — not only for excellent music, but also for a unique atmosphere.

We believe that Międzychód deserves its own periodic musical events, which will develop with each subsequent edition, attract new listeners and build the cultural identity of our city.

Let the Międzychodzkie Jazz Zaduszki become our common November tradition.
