Literature Live with Francesca Albanese “When the World Sleeps — Stories, Voices and Wounds of Palestine”

With a greeting from Dr. Julia Duchrow (Secretary General of Amnesty International Germany).

UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese talks about Palestine and the Gaza War. Book presentation with discussion and discussion. An event by Palmyra Verlag in cooperation with Kino Babylon.

Not just since the Gaza War, Francesca Albanese has been one of the most important critical international voices on Palestine - both as an international lawyer and as a pro-Palestine activist. Her book “When the World Sleeps - Stories, Voices and Wounds of Palestine” will be published by Heidelberger Palmyra Verlag at the end of November 2026. In addition to dealing with Israel's genocide in Gaza, FA reveals in the book what is really happening in the shadow of global indifference in occupied Palestine regarding oppression and expulsion. With hostility and defamation, certain political circles repeatedly attempt to discredit Albanian courage. However, your commitment to human rights deserves the highest consideration and recognition. It is therefore very gratifying that FA is coming to Germany in December at the invitation of Palmyra Verlag for three book launches, including on 10.12. 2026 in Babylon in Berlin.
