Classics and Confectionery Literature has always been one of the most important spokesmen for women's right to a life on their own terms — from landmark historical roots in the iconic works of Virginia Woolf and Simone de Beauvoir to today's literature.
In her new book Feminist, Elisabeth Møller Jensen takes us on a journey through the three great waves of feminism from the beginning of the 19th century to the present day — from international lighthouses to prominent voices in Danish literature such as Thomasine Gyllembourg, Dea Trier Mørch and Olga Ravn, crossed with the author's own memoirs.
Through the texts and currents that have driven her own life, she delves into what has shaped our shared cultural heritage and carried the women's struggle forward over two centuries.
