Lodz premiere of the film “Kaszpirowski”

Lodz premiere of the film “Kaszpirowski” directed by Łukasz Konopa and a meeting with the filmmakers at the National Centre for Film Culture in Łódź

In the late 1980s, millions of people sat in front of televisions to attend his “healing” sessions. For some, Anatoly Kashpirovsky was almost a saint, for others a charlatan. Without a doubt, however, it became one of the greatest media phenomena of the decline of communism.

“Kashpirovsky” is not just a portrait of a controversial figure. It is also a story about a time of transformation and about the mechanisms that make it possible for millions of people to endow one media figure with great confidence in moments of uncertainty. The story of more than thirty years ago sounds surprisingly current today.

We invite you to the premiere of the film in Łódź with the participation of the creators on October 29, 2026, at 19:00. Odeon Hall, NCKF Cinema

The meeting with the creators will take place after the screening.

Ticket sales start on Tuesday, October 20, at the EC1 box office and online.
