Loki Deph

Loki Deph stamps in from the underground with uncompromising and poetic hip-hop

Though a Google search on Loki Deph doesn't yield many hits, he's not new to the block. His surprising flows and well-placed punchlines have landed with those who know what goes on outside the commercial rap scene. And with great success.

Loki Deph has a long discography of almost frighteningly sharp guest spots behind him - some would call him Denmark's most in-demand guest rapper. In February 2020, his debut album Our Savior was released. Then followed a number of years of sold-out shows in Lille VEGA. And now he plays headliner in Store VEGA.

Loki Deph made his mark as one of the great poets of the underground with the EP releases Beluga and Malstrøm back in 2016. An impressed reviewer from GAFFA gave 5 stars and the words:

“His ability to elevate daily life to poetry is magnificent. It is as if the existence of subsistence acquires substance through the words. It's life-affirming to experience a rapper at once being as honest and sensitive as he is wild and fierce.”

Loki Deph works at the intersection of jazz and an electronic sound; an expression that both challenges and sustains. The music moves between the intimate and the intense and is often built on dusty beats, atmospheric layers of background vocals and quirky, unpredictable linguistic details.
