London Ambient Orchestra Presents: An Evening of Improvised Music and Sonic Exploration

Large ensemble orchestral improvisation rooted in stillness and sound exploration. From conservatoire trained contemporary classical players to avant-garde improvisers, LAO brings together musicians from a diverse range of backgrounds to create a unique improvisational language that defies the traditional thinking of what an orchestra can be. Dreamy sound worlds reminiscent of ambient pioneers like Brain Eno sit alongside Pauline Oliveros-like sound meditations, minimalism and raucous free improvisation.
