Los Bitchos turns up the tempo and the danceable rhythms of Lille VEGA
Cumbia, psychedelic surf rock and fire hot dance floors! Los Bitchos tunes in with intoxicating live energy and distinctive instrumental rock music. And as they open up their fusion universe, fusing Argentine cumbia, Peruvian chicka and Turkish psychedelic delicacies together in an irresistible surf rock cocktail that can get even the driest of hips out in supple dance moves.
The trio, today made up of West Australian Serra Petale (guitar), Swedish Josefine Jonsson (bass) and Englishman Nic Crashaw (drums), have an impressive back catalogue behind them.
Among others, the album Let The Festivals Begin! (2022), produced by Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos, and featuring the hit “Pista (Fresh Start)” — dubbed by music magazine Soundvenue as “an ideal soundtrack for a sunny day at the beach”.
When the multinational and sun-drenched instrumentalist trio hits VEGA on February 15, they'll be back with both a back catalogue and a brand new album, Los Bitchos & Friends Vol 1, which will be released on November 3, 2026.
Their third album is based on the band members' belief that both life and art only get better when you meet and learn from each other. Therefore, this time the instrumental experts have kicked open the door and invited a large number of guest soloists to the disc.
Among others, singer and oral hamonic player Ambrose Kenny-Smith (King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard) on the dramatic, guitar-driven single 'Holding Cell'. The number stands as a rhythmic warning that the audience can now both polish off their dancing shoes and vocal cords before one of Los Bitcho's infamous and energy-filled concerts.
