Lotte & Totte - My First Friend/Himmelbio

The film adaptation of Gunilla Wolde's beloved children's book series is a series of small stories that are delicately linked together into a feature film. All age groups can therefore follow along and enjoy the funny and sweet movie.

Lotte's world changes forever as her family moves far away from everything she knows. Loneliness threatens until she meets the energetic neighbor boy Totte. But when one of their imaginative games goes too far, they become unfriended. Lotte realizes that Totte is her first real friend and will do anything to regain the friendship before it is too late.

The film's debuting screenwriter and director Mia Fridthjof has long had an ambition to create a film suitable for children going to the cinema for the very first time. There are also strong voices behind the characters: Rasmus Bjerg as the father, Marie Askehave as the mother, Bodil Jørgensen as the grandmother and Mia Lyhne as the doctor. The picture books on which the film is based have been loved by generations for more than 50 years, and the 20 books about Lotte and Totte have been translated into a wide variety of languages.
