Loving Karma

In the foothills of the Himalayas, former monk Lobsang founded Jhamtse Gatsal — “Garden of Love and Compassion”, a safe haven for children affected by trauma.

Among them appears Tashi - the youngest, unpredictable and rebellious. The girl rejects every helping hand, but Lobsang sees a hidden potential in her chaos.

The film “Loving Karma” takes us to Jhamtse Gatsala 12 years after the success of the Emmy-winning documentary “Tashi and the Monk”. We watch Lobsang, Tashi growing up and a new generation of children building a world based on mutual concern. The center offers a radical alternative — a space where the wound healing process is based on community, love and pure presence.
