Just go to a concert at the Philharmonie, spontaneously during the lunch break and with free admission: This is possible every Wednesday between September and June at 1 pm. There is a program for 40 to 50 minutes: chamber music, piano works or even a drum duo — everything from Tchaikovsky to tango is included. Members of the Berliner Philharmoniker or the Karajan Academy often perform, but also guests from the German Symphony Orchestra, the Staatskapelle Berlin and the Berlin Music Universities. As can be the case with a lunch concert, catering is available from 12:00 until shortly before the start of the concert, which is equally high-quality and inexpensive.
