A discussion of the relations in which the Kingdom of Judah (South) remained with the states located on the territory of the Nile, Euphrates and Tigris, bypassing the schismatic Kingdom of Israel. Particular attention shall be paid to the multifaceted dependence of the Kingdom of Judah on its neighbours which have arisen as a consequence of these relations, and to the political and religious consequences resulting from these links of influence.
