LXXXIII PTJ Congress under the slogan “Spoken — written. Old problems, new challenges”

From 21 to 22 September this year, the US Institute of Linguistics and the Polish Linguistic Society are organizing the LXXXIII Congress of the PTJ under the slogan “Spoken — written. Old problems, new challenges.” 59 scientists representing more than a dozen Polish universities, institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences and foreign research centers will take part in the discussion on various aspects of spoken and written concepts. The broad thematic scope of the congress includes, among others, the following research areas: orality in writing, writing in spoken language, language in digital communication, spoken — written in translation and in glottodydactics, games (with) graphic form, language proficiency of native language users. Special guests of the Conference will be Prof. Aldona Skudrzyk and Jacek Warchala, who initiated research on oral and literacy from a sociolinguistic perspective in Polish linguistics — and Prof. Bernhard Brehmer. The congress was under the honorary patronage of the Rector of the University of Szczecin, the Voivode of West Pomerania and the President of the City of Szczecin.
