Lydia is delighted to be returning to PizzaExpress Live Chelsea after previous sell-out shows. Singing a mixture of classic jazz songs with her own twist as well as a range of songs she has written.
Lydia will captivate you with her warm stage presence and heartfelt vocals.
Lydia is an accomplished jazz singer whose velvety tone and emotional depth have captivated audiences around the world. Born into a rich musical heritage (her grandfather, father, and sister are all musicians and singers), Lydia’s love of music was nurtured from an early age. She began singing at a young age, soon earning recognition as a music scholar.
Her professional training began aged 14 with the esteemed vocal coach Arwel Morgan, who also introduced her to the world of jazz. She later studied under Dr. Eric von Ibler, head of Lieder at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, where she honed her vocal technique and interpretative skill.
Lydia’s Irish heritage adds another dimension to her artistry, with a voice versatile enough to move seamlessly between jazz standards and traditional Irish folk songs. She has also written and performed a number of her own original songs, showcasing her talent as both a vocalist and songwriter.
She has performed internationally at venues around the globe, and for over a decade has been a regular and much-loved presence at London’s iconic PizzaExpress Live Soho. Whether interpreting timeless classics or her own material, Lydia brings warmth, elegance, and soul to every performance.
